First you can use the internet to see sample letters written to give you a basic idea.

Otherwise, there are expected formats, the letters have to be polite and direct. No beating bout the bush. So don't forget your address, the 'potential customer' address, subject of the letter, and precise intention of the letter

On that note, if you are advising someone to buy a new product that you have to offer, how can you not know the kind of product when you are offering it. For example, if you are advising someone to buy your car, (product in this case is car), how can you not know the kind of car that you are advising someone to buy when you are selling it
