Writing An Application Letter

Clara Said:

I am writing an application letter and I don't know the name of the man/woman for witch I am writing?

We Answered:

regardless of todays informal attitudes: the proper heading should be Dear Sir or Madam you can also use To Whom It May Concern. also check your spelling on the application and call a few days after you've sent it to make sure it was received you can also call the front desk and ask for the name of the person to whom you'd be directing the letter

Richard Said:

what is the style of writing an application letter for job?

We Answered:

You're going to write a cover letter right?

Tone : Should be formal, second person POV.

Skeleton: As much as possible, use only one page. Two pages will be too taxing for the employer to read.

At the top, you should write the name of the person you're writing to (ALL CAPS), position, and name of company. If you don't know the name of the person you're writing to, then use "To Whom it May Concern:". It's always good to start with a greeting, like "Greetings! or Good day!"

Body: It should be straight to the point. As early as the first paragraph, you should state your name, course, and where you heard /saw the job position opening. Then state your intentions of why you're applying, and of course, why you're qualified for the job. Try to put in the skills that you have that you think would help the company. Achievements are always welcome, but don't put in too much, baka isipin nang employer nagyayabang ka na. Anyway, they'll have a copy of your resume naman.

Letter ender should be something like this:

"Thank you for your time, and hoping for your most favorable consideration, I remain

Respectfully Yours,
(Your name)"

Hope this helps. ^___^
