I wrote of my surroundings, describing the living areas, dinning areas, shower and all, then the climate and smells, along with the local people and some of there costums, how dusty, wet, dry, hot, cold, shitty, Things basically they have not seen that I am seeing, then How I was, and what I was doing during the days and nights.

This is what happens to your letters, they are distributed in a pile to many units, any soldier can pick one up and read it if they want to. it's not delivered personally to them.They may/may not write back. I wrote back to 2 young ladies whose letters I read and they were from my mother's hometown and I met them after I returned in April 1991.That's all.

Talk about your "greatest friends" and coolest teachers and why they are so great and cool. Tell about the "hilarious ton of things " that happen in Gregory, what your favorite subject is. You could mention what your family member who was in Iraq, did and maybe say they are home now, etc. Definitely, thank them for their voluntary service and protecting and defending our freedom, flag and country and wish for them to be home and families soon and safe.
