Writing A Letter Of Interest

Ann Said:

When writing a letter of interest, can I ask questions about payment?

We Answered:

Christine:
Be upfront about your qualifications and job requirements.
You can use language like "I am interested in the paid intern position of..." etc.
That way you won't waste your time, nor an interviewer's.
Best of luck!

Where can I find info on writing an interest letter to an organization that I want to be a member of?

We Answered:

Look on the web for contact information. If they don't have a web site, try the phone book, or talk to someone that is part of the organization already. Good luck.

Writing an interest letter to a University?

We Answered:

For most universities, it's pointless. Get on a computer and put YOURSELF on their mailing list. That will keep you abreast of any news. Good luck.

What is another way to say "if this is to work out"? I am writing a letter of interest, and that sounds so bad?

We Answered:

I hope that this application results in employment to our mutual advantage, and that it would be the basis for my long-term association with the company.
(I don't know if this is something on the lines of what you are looking for.)

Audrey Said:

I need help writing a letter of interest for an internship?

We Answered:

Find out who to address the letter to. Write your letter about how you can help them first and foremost. What can you do to help them.

Have you been to this ecology center? Research. Know what they do. Know where you can help.

Then add why you want to secondary. Why does it interest you? Who do you want to talk to about a career in it. Do you want to major in it? Get more specific not just b/c you are interested in biology but exactly what you are interested in.

Look up cover letters on the internet and see if they give you suggestions.

Also make sure you use proper business formatting and keep it 1 page.

Good luck!
