Can anybody help with writing a letter of grievance to a former Employer?

We Answered:

Hi - I would visit acas website they have sample letters to use.

Good Luck

In terms of your P45 - they have to issue this by law. Report them to the Inland Revenue and depending on what type of business it is - inform Trading Standards of them holding your pay and P45

Heather Said:

grievance letter against a senior coworker?

We Answered:

Keep a work log, detailing when he's a git, and also when he does stuff you would prefer he keep doing. It helps if you can say *some* positive things when airing a grievance. With the log, you'll have times and dates and actual instances, which is much more powerful than a general complaint about a pattern of behaviour.

Even small instances, if they keep on happening, can add up to a solid grievance. You *don't* have to suck it up, but you do have to be calm and polite if you're to get anywhere, hard as it might be.

Good luck. And always consider moving jobs as an option, now that you have 'management experience' which jumps you up a level in the job market.

How do you write a greivance letter?

We Answered:

I've always heard it's best to say nothing. You never know when that letter will come back to haunt you.

That's not to say I've never been tempted...

where can i find a sample grievance letter to an employer?

We Answered:

that happened to me. I was fired because my manager said that i took a wk off during christmas that i wasnt approved for but then i did get approved by my asst manager. I even looked at my work schedule for dec and it said on vacation.

When i told my manager about this he said ooohh you're supposed to report right after christmas and i said I did but you told me to go home because i was fired and he said well, you still didnt report that day so still you're fired for that.
I had to call lawyers for legal advice they told me to first file a complaint to the bigger boss and if they dont take action then, i can go through a lawyer.

So take it to your employers higher boss.. Are you in a union? They can represent your case.

Should I make an Official complaint/Write a grievance Letter?

We Answered:

your partner hit it on the head.
you have a strong case for work related stress, bullying and harassment.
this is not accepted in the work place ever and the problem must be put to bed.
the procedure will be very quick and done within two days.
the first point is to stop this ever happening again.
your letter of grievance should be in the form of incidents.
who, where, when, time, date. and what happened. was there any one who saw this happening.
the person wont thank you for this but it is not allowed ever to anyone in the work place.
the procedure will be letter hand in with complaint.
next you would have a Chance to air your view, with an out come.
with your manager area manager etc.
next would be thee other person would explain.
decision at this point will be made and acted upon.
you both may go into a room with your area manager who is trained in this area and you would come to an agreement that it will not happen again if there is grounds for the other person who did this to you, they will have a very strong warning. in the form of being disciplined.
it would be kept on their file and a warning would be issued of six months or even nine.
you must make some one aware that this is happening, and have it stopped there and then.
if your employer does not act accordingly she would fase big problems.
the out come is short, quick and direct when you started your employment you were given a copy of the grievance procedure read it or ask for a copy. whether not you are in paid work, or not makes no difference in the work place ,bulling harassment will not ever be tolerated.
if you are not happy with the out come there are other routes you can also follow up.
you have a good case above with grounds.
