Cecil Said:

Any tips on writing a condolence letter?

We Answered:

I am deeply saddened by (xxxx's) death, and I know that the loss of your child has been a terrible blow to you both. My heart and thoughts are with you, and I pray you will be comforted in your grief.

(xxxx) was a wonderful person. Once when we were together (xxxx) and I ...(tell of a personal remembrance here, a good and happy one)...

I will never forget (xxxx), and I hope that in time your sorrow and pain will be forgotten, and only all the good memories will remain.

Nora Said:

Help on writing a condolence letter . . . : /?

We Answered:

First, tell him how sorry you are for his loss. Then it's always nice to relate to the family how you know the person and tell a little story about how they helped you or what you admired most about them. Finished the letter by telling him that he has your deepest sympathy and then sign the letter "Sincerely yours," and your name.
And you have my deepest sympathy for your loss.

Dana Said:

Surely the point about Gordon Clown's letter of condolence was not about weather he meant well, which we can?

We Answered:

it was scrawled in a hurry like a note for the milkman. if he chooses to write a letter to a grieving mother he could have the decency to spare a few minutes to do it properly. if i was writing such a letter, i would do it with the concentration of a five year old constructing his first words. it would be to the best of my ability. in gordon clowns case maybe that was his best.i think he could do better. 0 out of 10 for effort.
