a regular citizen is not expected to make something like this in legalese....

They want to know about his character: Work attitude, personal attributes, reliability, etc.......this is all opinion and may be written in block letter format if you wish.

Lay out all his traits as you see them, one paragraph, one trait. final paragraph should sum up and your overall opinion of this person.

I understand your point, but it serves no real purpose. Other than that, it's a good letter.

There's more to this story than either you or your friend is telling...Maybe you aren't really doing him (or the rest of us on the road) any favors by helping him continue to be on the road.....

I think the letter is excellent.....as far as it goes..... as a lone character witness it does almost nothing to resolve the problem..... now starting a petition and getting a number of like minded students to sign.....that would do more
