Mike Said:

I want to write letters to soldiers-don't have addresses or info. Can anyone help me with this?

We Answered:

Visit www.adoptasoldier.com or www.soldiersangels.com to sign up and receive information about one or two people currently stationed overseas. (It's free) You'll get their name, address, basic info, and be able to send them letters and care packages. I have personally used soldier's angels, and it's a wonderful organization.

Because of security measures, you can no longer address mail to "any soldier", it will be destroyed before it even gets out of the Post Office. Your best bet is to do it through a well known and respected organization such as the ones I told you about above.

Good luck, and thank you for supporting the troops!

P.S. Don't forget about the sailors. There are programs just like these two for "adopting" a US Sailor. type it into a search engine, and I'm sure it will pop up right off the bat. :)

Ernest Said:

How do soldiers write letters?

We Answered:

They can not write specific information about what they did in the past and definitely not what they are going to do in the future, specially by electronic text messaging or e-mail. Place names should pretty much be left out as well as any unit names, mission names, etc.

To avoid scaring the family, they probably should not say they almost bought it during a mission.

Weather, politics and religion are pretty open for discussion.
