Lucille Said:

How do you write a letter of complaint when you dont have anything to complain about to a company?

We Answered:

What would be the point of a complaint letter that doesn't complain about anything?

How to write a letter of complaint about a product not been delivered on time?

We Answered:

Probably best to email them. Just a short email saying that you were unhappy with the time in which your product was delivered and maybe ask for the price of the postage to be refunded.

How do i write a complaint letter to a bank regarding an investment that has caused me to lose alot of money?

We Answered:

1ST ANSWER:

Question: If a registered broker who is working at the bank, advised you on the investment. ie: Told you that you should buy or sell XYZ investment.

Answer:
Odds are it will go nowhere. Especially if you are a small-time customer, are under 55 and have less than say $10,000 in it.

I am not an attorney, and this is NOT legal advice, but from a compliance point of view, I would argue that 'just because you are down or have lost money is not cause to win a case.'

You could try to argue "suitably," but you will eventually come in front of people who have far more expertise than you do to defend this. You will have to prove that the trade was unsuitable for you at the time of investment. These are very difficult cases to prove.

If you are (for example) 80 years old, earn $600 a month on social security and lost $100,000 - your life savings in a single investment, then you MIGHT have a better case.

If you failed to notify the broker of personal adverse economic changes, and stayed in the investment that would be your fault.

Brokerage accounts are typically subject to Arbitration rules. Arbitration can take anywhere from 1-2 years and if you have an attorney with you the whole time can cost $25-50,000 a year (looked into this before).

If you lose the case you not only lost the investment performance but you are out all those legal fees.

2ND ANSWER:

Question: You made the investment on your own. No one such as a registered rep or broker advised you to buy or sell. The investment decision was you initiation.

Answer:

“Dear Bank:

Aside from the $18 to $100 Billion of bad investments you had, I also lost ______.

I am hoping that you can get me some TARP funds because I think I should never lose money, especially a lot of money.

When I invest I don't want to have losses.

Since we have Obama now, I should be entitled to whatever I want, including not losing money.

I understand that I make my own investment decisions, which is the big part of the problem, but I don't have time to learn about investing on an ongoing basis.

I refuse to pay those outrageous commissions to the full service brokers even though some of the good ones might be able to help me from driving into a brick wall with my investment vehicle.

It should not matter that we have been in the worst economy since the Great Depression. I want no part of that. My investments should be making money, not losing money like everyone else.

I also diagnose my own medical problems, represent myself in court and l again want to pay noting for advice and be right all the time.

Please credit my account for ________ so I am whole again or at least give me the address where I can inquire about an Obama bailout too.”

OK there is some humor in the 2nd answer, but the point is I have always strongly advocated that if you are not an investment expert, to seek the ongoing advice from someone who is.

Good Luck!

How to write a letter of complaint about a disorganised and poor serviced restuarant?

We Answered:

write the date you were there... if you know the name of the restaurant owner/manager then that's great make sure you address the letter to them..

.. the main content depends, I guess, on how big the restaurant chain is... if it is just a small business you don't need to be so abrubt... generally act disappointed and let down by it all... play on the emotions...

.. I guess this is true a little of the bigger chains, although they're not going to be too fussed if they've hurt your feelings as they have plenty more customers...

...if it was a family restaurant and you took children with you, it is allways a neat little trick to get them to maybe write or draw a letter about how sad it made them feel and put it in along with your letter.

Give examples of what upset you.. with a few details... don't overdo the details as you don't want to bore them.. if they wish to seek out more info from you then they will..

With bigger restaurant chains be direct and straight to the point...they wont waste time on waffling... perhaps mention that you have contacted the local food critic and recommended they do an article on the restaurant (If you can name them then that's good too) (you will need to follow this up if you write it though)..

try not to imply that you want something specific out of the complaint.. when they read demands they'll immediately disregard your letter as looking for discounts.

Edit.. as has been said above though stay calm in your writing... irrate letters just get past around for the staff to have a laugh at.

good luck with everything
