How To Write Letter Of Application

Raymond Said:

I want to write the letter to the vacant post, show me how I can write the letter of application & CV.?

We Answered:

In CV heading you can write your general information:
Name
Surname
Local address
E-mail address
Phone number

(If applying for an overseas job, please remember to include your international dialling code.) Include your mobile/cell phone number if you are going to relocate soon.

CV Skills Summary

The Skills Summary section of your CV includes your main skills. You should only include keywords in his section, do not go into lengthy descriptions of your skills. The skill summary is also called personal profile.

CV Objective
The CV Objective, sometimes also referred to as CV Personal Profile states "What is my next step in my career?" This should be a short, concise statement that informs the employer what kind of position you are looking for. The type of position, the role (managerial, supervisor, contractor) should be included as well.

If you are job hunting it is a good idea to have several CV's with different profiles or objectives. For example, you can have a CV for a sales supervisor and the other for a shop floor manager. Your 'sales supervisor' CV can highlight achievements in this area, the CV would be tuned to that particular in terms of job descriptions and achievements.

Education on your CV

List all your qualifications in this section. Include all of your education including certifications from non-academic institutions, especially those that are related to this job vacancy. If you have more work experience than qualifications, put your work experience before your qualifications.

How to write a letter of application?

We Answered:

Important things to mention are:
-that you want to pursue a career in the position or a job at least somewhat similar, this shows that that you're keen for the job
-where you saw the vacancy advertised
-what skills and components of your personality you have that are essential for doing the job that you're applying for (eg for a sales job say that you have great communication and people skills, and are able to boost sales through mentioning deals. mention relevant and essential of your cv/resume if you've written one, don't re-write the whole thing.
-how working at the organisation will be a valuable experience to you
-that you will be in contact within 7 days or the time they say they will contact you to say whether or not they'll take your application further, this also shows them that you have a serious interest in the job rather than giving the impression of "i'm not too bothered if you don't get back to me". even if you decide later that you're not.
-formal/proffesional vocabulary will help too. eg "I am currently studying psychology at the University Of Reading", and proof read for incorrect spelling, again so it doesn't make you seem like a slacker who just wants to get paid and/or doesn't quite care enough about getting the job

there are many examples on the internet, particularly if you look in google. or if you really get stuck ask someone who gets jobs easily or go to your nearest jobcentre, or connexions (age depending).

Just write the facts. You attended that college, transferred to the other college, and you need your certificates.

Joe Said:

how to write a letter about reconsideration college application?

We Answered:

The best thing to do (and probably the only thing that will work) is to highlight what's changed since they rejected you. Have you won any awards? Have your grades improved? Have you gotten promoted at your job (even a part-time one)?

The other thing you could try is addressing some of your weaknesses if you did not do that in your original application. For example, if you had a particularly bad semester that you didn't address in your application, but you had a relative dealing with a serious illness or something like that, now is definitely the time to bring it up.

Otherwise, go in to detail about why you like this particular school. Point to specific programs, specific professors, or some unique aspect of the school that really interests you.

Discuss It!
