You can't request a resignation, but you can request a dismissal. Write it out on paper first, to get all your emotions out of the picture. Then, go back and put together your reasons why this person should be dismissed. Make it all factual. Don't include anything you might have heard but did not observe personally. Avoid any emotions in stating your case, or it will appear to just be a problem between you and the coordinator and not an issue that affects the organization.

Be prepared to be questioned by the board on the points you lay out, and handle that as cooly as you can as well.
