Well -- aren't you confessing love? There's really not such a big difference between romantic love and friendship love. Well, no. There IS a big difference, but in the sense of telling someone you love them, how much they value to you, what you would do for them... it's not all that different, except that your relationship with your friends is just emotional, not physical in a romantic/sexual way.

I have to say goodbye to nine of my good friend -- three best friends and one who is like my brother and then a few other close friends -- and I am writing them plane letters. I write about how much I'll miss them, I try to include a lot of memories (half the letter is bringing up memories), how special they are. With my best friends, if you didn't KNOW us, there are definitely paragraphs in the letters that, read alone, totally could belong to a love letter. ;p Be lovey, it'll make your friends feel special! Beyond that, include memories, inside jokes... things that will make them smile when they read it and might remind them of a detail they'd forgotten. Some of my friends have been there for me when i really needed it, so I also brought that up in my letters and would tell them how much it meant to me. And if you are a bit sappy... well, that IS what makes the tears start going. :p

Just write whatever pops into your head. There's no right or wrong way of writing to a friend. Your buddies will just be glad to hear from you. Just be yourself. :)

Perhaps just..ignore him for a bit. See if he comes to you?
If that doesn't work..then write a letter, straight up addressing your concerns and ask him why he's been acting so cold. Deliver it to his house, or if you go to school together, do it through there. (By the looks of it, it'd probably be a quicker way to get it to him.)
Don't accuse anything till you know what's up though, just ask him what's his deal.

(I am looking at it, as if you went somewhere - even if it was a day trip)

I've split it into 5 paragraphs - this is just a guide, you don't have to stick to it.

1. Intro - Hi how are you..........

2. where you went, when, who you went with, where you stayed, how you went.... how long it took

3. what happened, activities you did, any intersting things, people you met, good ones, weirdo's. .....

4. possibly summary - what you liked about it, what you didn't,

5. Close --- see you soon, la di da.......
