How To Write A Donation Letter
Jill Said:
how to write a letter for donaitons? We Answered:
Start with Dear Sir/Madame. Then go into a brief explanation of what the Homestead Job Corp. is. Then explain what you would like to do and ask if there is anyway that they (the business you contact) can help. Usually most business like to have at least 30 days or more to decide if they want to make a donation. So include a deadline for responce or get business cards and follow-up in a couple of weeks.) Print the letter on Homstead Job Corp. letter head paper and make sure you include a phone number for them to rach you if they have any questions. I have collected donations over the years for our conferences and some places are generoud while others are not. A starting place would be businesses in you neighborhood perhaps once that you contribute to like grocery stores, office supplies. Oh.. and ask your city and state government officials to give donations. Also the school board members like to make donations to such a worthy cause. Good luck!Sean Said:
Can anyone tell me how to write a letter asking for a donation for church? We Answered:
Include the following info:Name of Church and youth group
Purpose of the trip
Date of the trip
Donation structure ranges if applicable (i.e. $X will provide Y - $100 will provide transportation (or whatever))
Mention any incentives - tax receipt or if there is advertising available for certain donation limits - website or brochures or church bulletins, etc.
Also mention how funds are being raised ~ what are the youth doing to help raise money for this trip to show that they are committed and not just looking for someone else to foot the bill.
Keep it relatively short - no more than a page in length. If you have any reference material that you could include (or website references) make sure to include it so the person reviewing the request can look up additional info if needed.
You may also want to try to solicit funds from businesses/organizations that are aligned with the purpose of the trip. For example, if you were building homes for the needy, then you would approach businesses like Home Depot, etc. for funds.

how to write a donation letter for the church? We Answered:
You need to write the letter on the Church's letterhead. State who the nonprofit is, what you need, how will it be used and who benefits.
