How To Write A Cv Cover Letter

Tracy Said:

Who knows how to write the perfect cover letter, to go with your cv, when apply for a job?

We Answered:

When you a writing a cover letter I always suggest to type on computer or type writer unless other wise stated.
Also when you type your name you sign under neath as well in your own handwriting. I think this shows professionlism.
A basic run down for a cover letter would be to intruduce yourself and breifly explaing why you a writing the letter or what job you are applying for.
You then add why you think they should employ you..for e.g- Mature, flexible, enthusiastic..etc

Then you put in your experience such as e.g - Customer service, cash handling, banking etc.

Then i always thank them for taking the time to consider me for the position or for just taking the time to browse through my resume.

Another hint would be... on your computer if you go into microsft works task launcher if you have it i am pretty sure there are cover letters i there....

I hope this helps

How do I write a cover letter?

We Answered:

The answer that Edmon put is perfect. The only thing I would change is, don't ever put "To whom it may concern." This comes across as lazy and very impersonal. What I would recommend is to make a quick call to the HR department and simply ask who you can address your cover letter to.

This will allow you to introduce yourself, build some rapport as well as make your cover letter stand out among your peers.

Writing a cover letter for my CV for a libary assistants job! HELP!!!!?

We Answered:

Dear *

I would like to be considered for your vacancy for a Library Assistant, and have enclosed my cv.

I have previous customer service experience and am fully IT literate. I hope to hear from you soon.

Regards, whatever.

If you visit your local library you will probably find they use computers to check books in and out of the system. It is quite straightforward and you will learn it easily, but you need to make a point of mentioning your pc skills. As far as I know, as a hairdresser you would not have used a pc.

Also check to see if that is the only vacancy they have- it would be common to advertise a full time post and a Saturday job at the same time. You need to say which you are applying for if there is more than one and the hours are different. Other than that, keep it short.
