How To Write A Business Letters

Terrence Said:

How to write a business letter of appeal to my landlord not to terminate the lease prematurely.?

We Answered:

You should try to address your landlord's reason for wanting to terminate your lease prematurely. If you don't know, ask him. Either the reason has to do with you as a tenant, or it doesn't. If it doesn't, eg he wants the property for a different purpose such as living there or selling it, you are unlikely to gain anything by writing, other than possibly negotiating some flexibility over the timing of your departure. If his reason does have to do with you as a tenant, eg conformity to the tenancy contract, neighbour complaints, or rental that he cannot raise to market level, then ask what his terms would be to allow you to stay. In any case, I suggest you would be better sorting things out by telephone or, even better, face to face, than by letter.

That's the address of the person to whom you're sending the letter. (not yours).
