Generally, as a foreigner, you are best advised to call on each cafe you want to work for, than apply via a letter. Firstly, its shows you are available, and secondly confirms the level of your language capability: key issues to address for remote job applicants.

I agree with you 100%. Shortcuts are fine in text messages where you only have a few spaces to write information and have to abbreviate as much as possible. But there is no place for it in email where you can write as much or as little as you please.
