I would not address it c/o their assistant. If the person's mail is opened by an assistant, then that's what will happen, regardless of how you address it.

I would just use:

Name
Title
Company

"PS" stands for the Latin expression "post scriptum" literally "after writing".

So "PS" or 'post script' means something I added to this letter or email after I had finished writing the main part.

There are a number of things I ask from students who would like a letter of rec, including a resume that includes their accomplishments *outside* of my class, and a copy of the personal statement they're submitting to each school.

It would be kind of gauche for me to ask for something like you've described, but what a nice thing it would be to receive it!

First you have to know a few things about data

data is a collection of information
in simple terms a piece of data is a byte
a byte is 8 bits

so now, the hard drive itself stores the information as non volatile (they dont disappear when the power goes out) magnetic charges. The concentration of the charges determines the hard drive space.

the charges are either on (charged) or off (not charged) the read head on the hard drive picks up on these charges

remember how a byte is 8 bits? the information is returned as bits. now what does this mean for the letter A? the letter A is represented in ASCII code as 10000001 (8 bits = 1 byte, remember?) not as simply the letter A.

so it boils down to:

when you tell a program to save the letter A to a location on the drive, it lays down magnetic charges in that order. and when it needs that information, it just reads it back!
