a. Format you will print from (Word, WordPerfect, etc.)
b. Mail merge or not?
c. Printing on envelopes or handwriting?
d. Type of printer you will use - laserjet, inkjet, etc.
e. How large your mailing list will be?
f. Contact management and followup system?

If you can narrow your selection down by theme (e.g., thank you letter, referral letter, letter requesting a meeting), you will likely have more luck in selecting a product. Good luck!
