About Letter Writing

Monica Said:

Will constant letter writing to credit reporting agencies make them finally remove some things on my report?

We Answered:

From what I understand, the letters have to be timed out carefully. The agencys have 30 days to comply. If not, then you can leaglly sue.

However, their responsiblity is to verfy the information. If they can verify the information, then they will make the appropiate change. If they can not verify, chances are they will delete it. So if you keep writing over and over about the same problem, chances are nothing will be resolved (unless they did not do what they are leaglly bound to). Wearing down won't happen as they can simply call your letters a nuesence and not deal with them.

You should read the Fair Credit reporting Act to get an understanding of your rights.

Perry Said:

Can someone help me with this letter writing?

We Answered:

If you live close to a history museum, you could go there and see if there are any old letters on display. I saw some of these letters when I went to the Washington State History Museum and they seemed to be good examples of people in the war writing back to family and friends.

Martin Said:

How do you feel about letter writing?

We Answered:

I feel that letter writing ought to continue, even in the form of e-mails. Cutting out the salutary and the "sincerely" are examples of demeaning the importance of the letter. Other than placing the address and date on an e-mail, the author could still display tradition and respect toward the recipient.

Erin Said:

How can I creatively write about the causes and effects of the decline of letter writing?

We Answered:

I think I would begin with a big headline. "Post Offices Face Declining Mail and Revenue."

Some general info for you: From - treas.gov/.../organizations/comments_Mai…

How did we get to this point in postal history? There are many reasons, as we will explain. But one significant trend that existed even before 1971, when the former Post Office Department became the United States Postal Service, involves our changing methods of communication. The Postal Service still connects many individuals with businesses, but individuals depend less on the mail than was the case in 1971. Over the last three decades, personal correspondence, already in decline, has become even more rare. Today, letter mail from one individual to another makes up a very small portion of the mail the Postal Service delivers. Most of the Postal Service’s volume—at least 94%—is connected in some way to a business transaction.

Grace Said:

I am writing my boyfriend a letter a day for his trip. Any creative letter ideas?

We Answered:

Do something new and interesting everyday - that way you'll have someone interesting to write to him about!

Tammy Said:

I have a question about a letter writing?

We Answered:

Wouldn't that be redundant...he will all ready get a copy of the letter you have written.

However, I would think long and hard about a place that your current boss can control your future destiny in this so called organization. Is this really a place that you want to work? Think about it...if you are really good he can keep you there and make his road to retirement easier...while limiting yours.

Oh...another hint. It is either last October or October 2006. There is no such thing as 'last October 2006'. That implies there has been another October 2006.

Another hint...a vacancy is never eligible for you to apply for (unless you want to be fired). However, you can be eligible to apply for a vacancy.

You might want to work on your writing skills a bit.
