It sounds like a good idea. Here's the problem.

Unlike at the time of formation, we as a nation are very polarized. There is a huge mass of people, often in the majority, that think it's acceptable to force majority religions on the minority, ok for the government to ignore the laws at will, and ok to discriminate against couples based on their gender.

The current constitution may be flawed, but given the level of hate and partisan brain-damage currently rampant in the US, it's scary to think of what else they might come up with.

I would have to do the same if I were to be able to have a conscience after killing people that don't believe the same thing I do.

I would have to be absolutely certain that the Qur'an told me to convert or kill non-believers before I could fly a plane into a building with a clear conscience. Or strap bombs to women to kill heretics. Or attempt to assassinate a cartoonist.

I would want to make sure I had it memorized so I could look a person straight in the eye and tell them that Islam is a religion of peace, tolerance and understanding while I was mixing my next batch of explosives.

This is a good thing because anything they try to do in the house they can pass, then come 2012 The american people will have a choice elect republicans and they will finish the job of privatizing SS and Medicare,or send their azz packing and give the control of the house back to the dems and put a bigger majority in the Senate . The choice that we will make is clear the american people dont want SS and medicare privatized
