Companies don't usually ask employees to write reviews about other employees at the same level. Managers do however write evaluations and reviews of subordinates.Your question is worded, to say that you are looking for information regarding employees writing reviews about other employees and how they can manage their work . peers are equals. managers don't evaluate the performance management of other managers that are peers. Any books on Business Management will cover reviews/evaluations/critics etc.

As an NCO in the Air Force one thing I learned was to keep it simple and truthfull. BS and flowery phrases don't mean a thing and don't do you or the employee any good. What you should be writing are facts and specific achievements of the employee. He/She is great is neither a fact nor a specific achievement. He/She accomplishes his/her tasks in a timely and efficient manner could be a fact if they do so. If they show initiative in getting work done rather than waiting around for someone to tell them what needs doing that should also be shown. If, on the other hand they sit around until being told to do something that should be stated. Basically the review should be how well they perform, how well they met set goals and whether or not they need to improve certain aspects of their work.Lewis Said:

Some of you might like to know what the supervisor is really saying in all those glowing employee work performance evaluations s/he keeps cranking out.
AVERAGE: Not too bright.
EXCEPTIONALLY WELL QUALIFIED: Has committed no major blunders to date.
ACTIVE SOCIALLY: Drinks heavily.
ZEALOUS ATTITUDE: Opinionated.
CHARACTER ABOVE REPROACH: Still one step ahead of the law.
UNLIMITED POTENTIAL: Will stick with us until retirement.
QUICK THINKING: Offers plausible excuses for errors.
TAKES PRIDE IN WORK: Conceited.
