It kind of depends what part of the book you're writing it about. But I guess what you want to do is choose some kind of major event in the book and write about it the way Atticus would. Remember that Atticus is a lawyer, so he would speak fairly technically. Also, he is very polite, so his opinion wouldn't be stated explicitly, although it would be detectable. The assignment is meant to test your knowledge of the book as well as the character of Atticus, if that helps.

A newsletter on To Kill A Mockingbird. Cool idea! I wish my teacher had thought of it while I was in high school! There are lots of ideas within the story that would make this awesome and lots of fun to create.

-You could include a legal notice of the public trial of Tom Robinson, or, create an obituary for he and for Bob Ewell if you base it later in the story.
-You could advertise the little skit that Scout is involved in, inviting members of the community to attend.
-You could ask funds to be raised for Miss Maudie to help pay to rebuild her house.
-Hmm. An alert maybe about the rabid dog that had been spotted in the area and for people to be aware of strange animals?
