This one is MLA, which is what most teachers require.

Norman Said:

What is the correct format for writing a bibliography?

We Answered:

There are SEVERAL types of bibliography! All depends on your subject area and how picky your teachers/professors are. Are you using the APA format, MLA, etc?

Have you heard of www.bibme.com (google bib me if I have the address wrong) All you have to do is type your books, author, etc and the computer will give you the correct way to write the bibliography for that source! It's an awesome website...I wish I had that resource when I was in University!

Samuel Said:

Could someone help with writing a bibliography?

We Answered:

The general rule is, if you trust the secondary source, you don't have to go back to the original. It sounds like, in this case, you couldn't really work back to the original sources.

Just to play it safe, she can make it clear in the text that she is using a secondary and not a primary source. For example, something like, "As cited by X, " or "As summarized by X."

However, please do make sure that you trust this source. There are a lot of untrustworthy websites out there. (Never site cite wikipedia. Never.)

Arnold Said:

Is writing a bibliography for a college paper just the basic APA citations?

We Answered:

Yes it is. Make sure your professor wants it in APA style. Another popular form MLA.

Marcus Said:

When writing a bibliography, should you include a title?

We Answered:

Print it on another page.

Title it Bibliography -or- Works Cited

For this one, I'd just title it Bibliography, and then ask the teacher what he or she prefers from now on.

Discuss It!
