you need an adress to send a letter to. you can label it as "any soldier" if u dont know one. or even "the whole company".
find a friend who has a deployed friend and get their address.you can also join "soldiers angels" and get adresses taht way. or find your local blue star mothers chapter, im sure a soldiers mom would be willing to give his adress if your going to write to him.

Wish I could remember the groups who organized lists so you could pick military people to write to. But could always stop in ask a recruiter or go to an USO at an airport and they may have it as well.

Always is the web. Should be able to search for groups who do care packages and letters and they would be able to help you out.

The Soldier is a Petrarchan sonnet, not a Shakespearean sonnet (the Shakespearean sonnet always ends in a couplet).

Brooke wrote quite a few sonnets. The sonnet is unusually good at expressing simple points of view clearly. The Petrarchan sonnet is especially good at expressing any point of view which naturally falls into two sections. In The Soldier Brooke uses the first eight lines to say how lucky any foreign country where he dies will be (because a country which has Rupert Brooke's body buried in it is one lucky country), and the final six lines to say how lucky God will be when Rupert Brooke is dead (because any God who gets to re-absorb Rupert Brooke's soul is one lucky god).

My fiance and brother are over seas right now, and my fiance not to long ago got a letter from a civilian who just wanted to express their gratitiude and write him, he was very happy, so happy that he actually sent the letter home to me so i could read it.. Just call the local recruiting office and they will be happy to help you!
