Farhan, you're technically right that a direct transliteration of "?????" (Adiva) into English would be "Adifa,"with an "f" instead of a "v." This is only because the Arabic alphabet doesn't have a standardized letter for the v sound, so an "f" (?) is used instead. However, some exceptions apply to this. The accepted way to transliterate certain foreign words requiring the "v" is to use "?" (my browser won't let me type it, that's how infrequently it is used.
