Write Chinese Characters
Rene Said:
Is there anywhere on the internet where you can hand write Chinese characters to be translated? We Answered:
Steve~~ There are dictionary websites which have handwriting recognition. The one I use most frequently is http://us.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.phpOver on the right, next to the word "search", you'll see a little paintbrush icon. Click on it and a box will open up where you use your mouse to write the character. Down below they'll try to narrow down the choices until you see the character you want. Click on it so it goes into the search box, then click search for the definition.
Here's the hard part. The website may get confused if you don't use correct stroke order. Stroke order means which part of the character gets written first, using what pen stroke. (Sort of like when we teach kids to write in English....you make the downward stroke of the letter B first, then the two bumps from top to bottom.) But generally speaking, Chinese stroke order goes top to bottom, left to right.
If you don't have any luck with the website, I've seen other people post pictures of characters on flickr or photobucket and direct people there with a link.
Hope that helps!

How can i learn to read/write chinese characters easily? We Answered:
I agree with Suan. Repetition, repetition, repetition is the key. Writing, not just reading.Eduardo Said:
when writing chinese characters, does it matter the way i write it?We Answered:
Yes, the stroke order seriously matters. When you become more proficient at writing, you'll start to write in cursive, which in Chinese means that some of the strokes run together and flow. If you don't use the correct stroke order, the characters will not look right and absolutely everyone will laugh at you.Jamie Said:
