What To Write In A Cover Letter

Scott Said:

How do I write a cover letter for a semi-professional career position? What info should I include or avoid?

We Answered:

Cover letters that are attached to resumes are used as a way of introducing yourself and explain why you are writing to them
So
1) address it to a specific person if possible. You should do some research and find out.
2) If you are replying to an advertisement, state, what job, the date you saw it and where.
3) give a brief (BRIEF!!) description about why they should consider you for the job.
4) Get them interested in you!!! if they aren't interested reading the cover letter it's doubtful they will look at your resumes.
5) make it easy to read, no spelling or grammar mistakes, not to long or too informative.. (that's the resumes job)
6) Tell them why you want to work for them and that you look forward to having an opportunity to meet with them. Leave a number, email etc and the best times to reach you, also where they can leave messages.
The key is to get their attention so they will read your resume.

How to write a cover letter for a food service position?

We Answered:

um what kind of part time food service? if you just mean like ruby tuesday or applebees, you don't need a cover letter, just an application and maybe a resume if you really want to impress.

if you mean something else then please explain
