well type out your cool writing on something like word or use like one of them website things when it changes your writing for you, then copy it. if you don't know one of the cool writing website things type in cool writing translator into google it will probably come up with something anyway.
click on the down arrow next to your name on msn and and drop down list will appear click on options then when you see your name in the box at the top press control v and your writing should paste in to there. if not then i dunno what will work but it worked for e, although sometimes the writing changes a bit and some letters appear as block i don't really know why this is but it usually it still legible

Yeah, I know a way to do that, but you need MSN Plus. ( If you haven't got it you can download it from here http://www.msgpluslive.net/download/ )

? At the top (or possibly bottom) of a conversation window, click on the msn plus exclamation mark symbol.
? Then select quick texts.
? Configure.
? Add (on the right).
? Tick the bottom bullet point "Automatically replace text in the messages I send"
? Then where it says "text to replace" type in a normal letter from the alphabet e.g. "y".
? Where it says "new text" copy and paste in the special letter you want to replace it e.g. "?".
? Click Ok.
? Click Apply ( in the bottom right corner)

You can repeat this process for other letters.

You need to have the image saved in your msn before you can use them. Try starting a conversation with her and use the certain emoticons that you want to save e.g. "hey". Tell her to right click them and save/add them to her collection and modify the shortcut code to her will.

After that, when she types she will be able to see these emoticons on her side of the text.

EDIT: If you mean, no emoticons are showing then there is an options in the tools menu > settings. It should be under the emoticons tab and make sure "Show emoticons" is enabled.
