Instead of listing change by change, I'm just going to paste your piece here with my changes in it.

The poems incorporated within the book of poetry were written on many topics, such as Bagdad, Iraq and the midwest. These topics helped expand my ideas about Iraq and the midwest. They also made me want to discover more about these places through further reading and travel.
A specific poem entitled "Her Daughter" taught me more about Bagdad while making me want to discover more about the area. This poem is about a mother in Bagdad and a woman back home in the United States. This poem helped me feel sympathy towards mothers in Bagdad during a chaotic war. It also revealed to me that my life is trouble-free and that I should *not worry about *simple things like my appearance because people across the world are experiencing things much more difficult that an “uneven chin.” This poem alone made me want to learn more about grieving mothers who have experienced war.
The poems in part two entitled "Singing to Salt Woman" informed me about the midwest and Indian life. After reading the poems I now want to travel to a place that I normally would have no interest in traveling to. Now I do not see the midwest as a place that appears boring and dull but an area that holds mystery. *(You need to explain what about the poem made you think that way.)

This in turn made me want to *search for more answers through further reading and travel. I also want to broaden my knowledge about different cultures and people, such as the Indian way of life and mothers of war.

Note: I put a * before all the misspellings I corrected. And, if you're talking about the midwest of the USA, and you're talking about American Indians, you need to change where you said "Indian" and change it to "American Indian." Someone who's "Indian" is literally from the country of India. Native Americans are now called American Indians.

I am not sure what you want us to do. If it is correcting it, there are a few grammar mistakes. In the 4th line n should be no and names should all have caps. brush there teeth should be brush their teeth,some of the words that are caps. should not be like : roar, battle,who long "Charlie the Snowman " should be in "s.next year should have apostrophies after each. Except the last on, a period. The story its'self sounds fine.

Sweetheart you are suffering from the severe traumas that you endured in during your early childhood. This isn't going to get better and you will spend your life like this if you don't get professional help. That is the only way you can learn to recover from what you have gone through. The traumas caused all of the symptoms that you write about and I know there are other symptoms that aren't mentioned. Be very proud of yourself for stopping the drinking that can really lead to severe problems. With professional help you can have a happy and productive life and be anything that you want. Without help this is the way life will be for you please understand that. Talk to your parents and tell them that the sexual abuse has affected you mentally and you need help. Or talk to your school counselor about this. There are also numbers you can call that are staffed by professionals who can help you one is 1-800-4ACHILD that number is for teens also and 1-800-273-talk or 1-800-273-suicide. You are special and you are loved and with help you will recover>

Speech lessons or a tape. If you are going into media studies, that will probably help you also. There are tapes you can get to listen to and learn. Those would probably help you lose your accent. My daughter lost her southern accent in drama when she was in college. I still have mine, though, and am proud of it.
