Script Writing Software

Audrey Said:

Where Can I get Script Writing Software For Word That Is Free?

We Answered:

For Word, there's a macro called iScript out there somewhere.

However, there's a MUCH better option: get a copy of Celtx. It's screenplay software, it's free. You can get it here:

writing a script on Microsoft Word and Script writing software?

We Answered:

There is a macro/template called "iScript" out there for Word. I haven't seen it on any sites lately ... it may no longer be supported. Diligently searching for it may turn it up.

Screenplay formatting software makes it easier to concentrate on WRITING the screenplay rather than FORMATTING the screenplay.

One of the better formatting packages to 'get your feet wet' is celtx. Try it, and if you like it step up to Movie Magic Screenwriter.

Leah Said:

What is the best script writing software out there?

We Answered:

I like to use PrimalScript by Sapien. It handles VBScript and a number of other scripting languages, and file types (http://www.primaltools.com/index.asp).

Has a built in debugger.

Jeanne Said:

Is there such a thing as script writing software?

We Answered:

Celtx is one of the better ones, and it's available here:

www.celtx.com

As an aside, you don't write 'sceneries and camera positions and storyboards and shizzle' into a screenplay, you write dialogue, action and slug lines. Period.

Renee Said:

We Answered:
