It takes me a good week to do my research, then a few days to collate the information and sort out my references. Then It takes me about a week to write it. Most people in my course which was computing and mathematics, tried to do this the night before and most of them failed. I came out with 1st class honours in my honours degree. So i would not listen to them and take your time doing it otherwise your essay will only be complete waffle and the professors do notice this. The more research the better essay you will write!

Get a thesaurus or ask your teacher if there is tutoring available because you're at a slight disadvantage. If you have time, try to read to learn more words and get a better idea of English writing-style. That's how I learned to write.

Look on the Yahoo! Homepage and see if there is any news that looks interesting. These are usually easy to find and short so you'll be able to read it without much time wasted. You could also post your essays here and ask for help.

i would recommend talking to your teacher and asking what you could do differently, its hard to tell you what to do differently without seeing specific examples, the best way to organize your thoughts is to go point by point, and for better interpretation, i read the book then use spark notes to help me see things i might have missed, or you can get with friends and do it

If the only reason why you want to get accepted is for the pay and schedule you're in it for the wrong reasons. Work is never easy and great pay doesn't come instantly. Work schedules only get easy when you've been in your career for years and are well established.

I strongly suggest you reconsider your motives for wanting to get into dental hygiene. You'll likely find yourself thoroughly disappointed if you go into it with unrealistic expectations and false reality.
