How To Write Essay

Stacey Said:

How should I write an essay for a scholarship?

We Answered:

Most scholarships give you a topic to write on. I'd write on whatever topic that is.

If you are supposed to write about whatever, write about what you think studying abroad would do for you and why you are uniquely qualified to get the scholarship.

How should I write this essay?

We Answered:

Start from the beginning. From 15th century, or say 5th century. Indus Valley Civilization / Harappan civilization was in 3rd century BC.. and it was the first city to be excavated. It shows that even in the 5th century, people thought in terms of cities... The evolution means how it has improved its way.

Another paragraph could be, the world wars made people to change cities and move to bigger cities in search of food, shelter, and clothing..thats how really urbanization came into being.

Include common theories of these people, it would be enough. 2-3 paragraphs of common theories.

Also, write about architecture of cities.. blah blah. best luck :)

You can also focus on "urbanisation of africa" or some particular country and go year by year.

How to write the essay about video game problems?

We Answered:

There are many "problems" associated with video games - sexuality, the ratings system (too liberal, too strict, no real laws), violence, obesity - there's stuff all over the internet! You need to narrow down to a specific problem and search it in Google. Also, your school library should have access to databases of journals, newspapers and magazine articles full of information. Ask a librarian and they'll point you in the right direction.

You can also go to Wikipedia - don't use Wiki articles, but rather scroll down to the problem and look at the links it provides as sources!

How do you write a very well written essay?

Take a look at these sites:

This is a cool, interactive site. Use the menu across the top for different essay types:

Also look on your local public library website. Many libraries provide access to a database called the Learning Express Library. It includes some helpful writing guides.

If you need something more or something different, don't forget that your local library can help. You may not even have to go into the library building - just visit the website. Chat service examples:

How to write an essay about University I would like to attend?

We Answered:

Make it interesting and sincere. Make it like a conversation, not too formal or boring. Admissions officers will like really interesting, unusual and bizarre stuff because it stands out. Ask someone to give you ideas and proofread it. Change or edit at least six things after someone proofreads it. Make sure you have a thesis and that you prove your thesis.

How to write a essay on a novel?

We Answered:

Essays are formatted like this:

Intro paragraph - 3 sentences - Talk about your topic, the book title, the author, and the main point of your essay. This is where you might lose your readers, so you need to make it interesting.

Body section consisting of AT LEAST 3 paragraphs, each paragraph having 5 sentences or more. These talk about all of your facts and give plenty of examples! (maybe you are persuading someone to read the book... tell why and list parts in the book that you really like.... just don't give away the ending!).

Conclusion - Restates what you said in your intro (whatever you do, DON'T repeat what you said... use different words.) but ties it all up. It's anywhere from 2 - 5 sentences. This is where you have to make it a nice and happy ending, so that it leaves the reader feeling great. Sounds corny, but it gets you an A! lol

Also, it's a good idea to add in some big words (words that you know and understand, though!). Don't repeat the same words over and over again. If you want to describe a character as talkative, don't keep saying talkative. Instead, find other words that describe it, such as friendly, outgoing, sociable, assertive, etc. Use a thesarus... it'll help! Also, make sure you use proper grammar and re-read your essay to check for errors. Get others to check your paper, also. Another tip: Don't use the word "I", "you", or "everyone". Only use the word "I" when you are talking about your opinion.

Good luck!
