The first thing you should do is make a list of the important people, places and experiences of your life.

Then put the experiences in the order in which they happened.

Write a description of the people that mean the most to you. (family, friends, teachers, etc.)

Then start at the beginning of your life and write the experiences and descriptions of people as they happened.

End with telling about what you hope to do in life.

If you find it difficult telling her how you felt, then write it up and give it to her. She can read it in her own time.

The problem with talking about it together is that emotions get the best of you and you end up crying about the past and dwelling on it. However, if you write it alone, then you can openly say what you want without upsetting her. Make sure you include towards the end what she should be looking forward to in her future and how proud you are of her. Turn the bad experiences you have into positive outlooks for the future.
