Basically they are just asking for your name, address, and phone number.(You don't have to give them your phone number if you don't want to).

So I could give a really long winded explanation of what you should have on an invoice, but here's an easier way. Go download and install open office, then download the templates package that has invoices in it. I think it's the business forms one. I use this and it makes simple to just fill in the blanks.Josephine Said:
Need help to write an invoice (with a installment payment)?!?We Answered:
At work (insurance agency) we use Quickbooks to do invoices. We do one for the deposit/down payment. Then each month after, we mail out an installment bill.I suggest doing a separate deposit bill, but show the total amount due for the job in full (in case they chose to pay in full). Make them aware that 2 monthly bill installments will follow the deposit. Don't put it all on one bill because it could confuse your customer.

I am not VAT registered how do I write an Invoice? We Answered:
He can't claim back the vat because there isn't any to claim back! You don't charge him vat unless you are vat registered.Just do a straight forward invoice with your company name, date and brief details of work carried out. Show the total amount you are charging him (no vat). You can split the amount charged into labour and material charges if appropriate, to help with your own books.
