It is uncanny how basketball uniforms have changed from long, striped pants in the early 1900's to short, hot-pink nylon pants in the modern ageYou have: proven some research, identified some general uniform stuff and gave an idea how you will structure your essay. Good luck:)

How do you write a three prong thesis statement? We Answered:
Here I'm going to outline the steps I used starting out, and give an example. For now, let's pretend I am discussing Cinderella.1. Figure out your idea. You need to take a stand on an issue, choose a point of view that is debatable.
EXAMPLE: Cinderella's upbringing was actually good for her.
2. Then pick your main points. They should support your main idea.
EXAMPLE:
a) Her family's cruelty taught her to be a good person, which she wouldn't have learned if she were spoiled.
b) If she hadn't been poor, she wouldn't have needed her fairy godmother's help, and therefore wouldn't have looked so dazzling that she attracted the Prince's attention.
c) The fact that she was made to do chores led her to the prince, because she answered the door for him at the end.
3. Put it all together. A cause/effect ("because") statement is a great way to keep it simple and easy to write.
EXAMPLE: Cinderella's upbringing was actually good for her because her family's cruelty taught her goodness, her poverty attracted the beneficial attention of the fairy godmother, and her duties helped the Prince to locate her at the end of the story.
You go into more detail about each supporting point in your body paragraphs - there should be one for each supporting point.

How to write a good thesis statement on a story? We Answered:
Well, my uneducated answer would be to sum up the major shift in the story in a sentence. Tell what happened. "we know that X should have done X" is subjective and an opinion. Use this as a thesis only if it is an opinion paper. As a journalist I write thesis statements all day long, only they're called leads. Lets use Some of Us Had Been Threatening Our Friend Colby by Donald Barthelme. Heres the thesis/lead/whatever you want to call it.
"Colby is hung by his friends for 'going too far,' so that no one would ever go too far again."
That is exactly what happens, though it's a bit more complex. But leads and thesis statments aren't about saying everything, they're about touching on all major points and themes in a simple sentence. It's an abstraction.
If it's an opinion peice, you need to sum up what your opinion is that the paper is focusing on, like "Colby was hung because his friends succumbed to the dangers of a herd mentality." That is a commonly accpeted opinion of the story and you can certainly back up that argument with the text.
Not sure the format your teacher is looking for but hopefully this is a help. Best of luck.

How to write Thesis Statement? We Answered:
Your thesis is the main idea of what you are going to say, only in ONE SENTENCE.Never write your thesis in more than one sentence, your teacher will laugh at you and so will everyone else.
There are two ways you can do it. You can either list what you are going to say, or just say it in general.
For example, you may be writing an article on how I am awesome.
Example #1:
"Mehmeh is awesome."
OR you can go into detail...
"Mehmeh has purple hair, clown shoes, and a huge computer, and therefore is awesome."
Only, put more effort into it.
(PS: I do not have purple hair and I do not own a pair of clown shoes, unfortunately.)
Have a good day and good luck on your paper!!

You need to have an opinion on the subject. A thesis is a statement your paper intends to prove. What do you want to say about the actors, script, and effects? How do they fit together? Why are these things important to the experience of viewing the movie as a whole? Also, since you're analyzing a movie that came from a novel, you might consider building a thesis and paper comparing and contrasting the two. What about acting, script, and effects makes the movie succeed or fail as an adaptation of the novel?
A thesis statement is a guide to the paper. It is almost like a mini-outline. The thesis can announce what elements you intend to discuss in the paper and in what order.
