I agree with the other answers and suggest that you will do best in a small company. Large corporations tend to want the certifications while a smaller company is more likely to give you on the job training.

One approach might be to lead with that - that you technical skill-set is derived from on the job training and you see yourself as an asset to this company because of your willness to learn and develop in the areas that would best serve their organizational goals.

AKA: teach me, I'll learn quickly and learn the skills you need and, I think, any employer will see that there is a financial advantage to them.

My first answer was going to be "a life time" because you have to tailor each letter and resume to the job. But you are already doing it! Good job on that!

What does a resume usually include?
A resume usually SHOULD include your name, contact data (address, phone, email), skills (targeted to the job you are applying for), formal education and certification, employment history, honors and awards, interests and hobbies. Your objective is not listed (despite popular belief) on the resume, but is included in your cover letter, in the opening line when you state the position you are applying for.
