How To Write A Report Example

Tommy Said:

How to write a report? Is there any websites to give me an example of a report?

We Answered:

When writing a report, you must know your topic. Is this a Business Report, or an English Essay? You need to think of a title for your report, or a heading that is no longer than one sentence, which interests the reader. Next, you need to write a few sentences about the subject of your report. Then write three to five paragraphs that support your main point of view. Lastly, you need to create a summary paragraph, or less, which proves to the reader that you supported your main topic.

how do you write a good book report on just one charcter?

Here is a link describing how to write a character sketch essay.

In the first step it says to create a thesis statement.which is basically stating the subject of your essay.

If you want to make it flow well, perhaps let the essay develop as her character develops in the book you are taking this from.

Certainly the character changes and grows within the book, so you should be able to show this movement within your essay.

I suggest breaking down traits and transitions in the characters life onto index cards, then making each one of those index cards a theme for each paragraph.

Your opening paragraph can be an introduction to the journey you are going to take the reader on through the characters life.

Good luck!

how do you write a report about the environment?

We Answered:

A really hot topic right now is the over building in the Seattle, Wa area. That is one of the reasons the flooding was so bad. They have build so much in some areas, there is no where for the water to go!

Another hot one is Global Warming, you could talk about what exactly it is and why some people don't believe it is real.

How about talking about various research in other types of fuel besides gas? That one is very politically hot now too.

What about the effects on the ocean from an oil slick? What exactly is oil and it's effect on the environment...how much is left?

Rain forests are disappearing...

Ozone layer...holes in it...cause and effect...

How to write a Perfect Science report? Techniques?

We Answered:

You can find literature on how to write properly online, look up 'technical writing.' Notable tips include:

(1) write in passive voice (look up what this means if you are not sure)

(2) Do not begin a sentence with a parameter name (i.e. 'variable'), for example do not begin a new sentence with "lambda was found to be..." Start your sentence with "The parameter lambda...." or "the wavelength lambda..." "the quantity lamda..."

There are good examples of Technical writing everywhere around you, your textbook, articles online.

I am sure you will never actually do this so i will not recommend it to you, but for your reference: we (in college) all use a mathematical typsetting language called LaTeX (look this up). They use TeX to typeset articles in journals, your textbooks are written in it, and we write lab reports in this language. Microsoft word is not pretty at all, and not professional for scientists/engineers (certainly is for business people though). The language has almost no learning curve, and is very easy, but people are lazy.

Here is a link to one of my papers: http://www.itcanbeshown.com/Lab_2_Mercur…

That was done in LaTeX, plotting was done in Matlab, and lol at the experiment diagram being done with MS visio.

I mention all these cosmetic details because there is much more to a college/professional level paper than just writing.
