How? I just kinda get an idea and go with it... type it up or write it down :) I write whenever I can... Sometimes whole stories get written in my head, but are never actually written down on paper so people other than myself can view them

Why? "I write for the same reason I breathe. Because if I didn't I would die"- Isaac Asimov. Writing helps me release my creative energy, any bitterness or excessive happiness. Writing keeps me going. If I didn't write my mind would go insane{more than it already is} and I'd waste away.

That would be incredibly hard, most likely impossible. You would have to contact the publishing agency and a billion more people, sign contracts and other stuff. I've never done that so i can't give you a lot of details but

Actually, there was so much more information THEN on how to write a story. The loss of storycraft since the 1960s has been severe since academia moved from the extrinsic of telling a story, such as the quest, the arch, the characters, to the intrinsic of storytelling today, such as gender identity, author intent, the metaphysical, etc... It will be a rare situation when you will meet someone who has actually been taught to write a story instead of how to analyze it. Creative writing courses, for example, don't teach how to tell a story, but focus on the intrinsics of writing and are more focused towards journaling.

It has only been in the past few years since the internet has become huge that the extrinsic of storytelling is being rediscovered. Academia hasn't picked up on this yet, though.

So, back then, learning how to tell a story was explicitly taught, unlike today. Aristotle's "The Poetics" is still a very good guide, even for today. There are many other textbooks that are used as reference for some academics from Twain's period and they all recommend outlining.
