I would start by making notes of what happened and what you did for each year that you can remember.
Then ask your parents and grandparents to help you with the years you cannot remember and if there is anything you missed in the other ones.

Then write it how you would tell someone who wanted to know every detail of your life.

Maybe start like this

It all started one Monday afternoon in a little hospital in an old of the way village in the middle of Africa, the doctor turned me over, gave me a slap on the rump and I burst out crying at indignity of it all. However, soon I was washed and warm and curled up with Mum. Life settled down into regular routine and all was right with the world for the next few months.

I was about fourteen months when I discovered that I didn't just have to lie there and have toys placed close at hand or be picked up to go somewhere. I could move by hands and feet and crawl. Well what a terror I became - all these adults constantly chasing after me. Life was good and it was even better when at 17 months I found I could stand on my legs and run like Mum & Dad.

Things just kept getting better and better till I was 2 and half when I took a running dive off the trampolin and split my head open. You should have heard the noise Mum made, but the ride in the ambulance was fun. It wasn't fun in the hospital with all the doctors and nurses.......


The paragraphs will probably be longer as you get older, sum up most of the activity in a few words and then tell the key story for the key. e.g. The next year was much a continuation of the previous one - school on the week days, band practice on Tuesday, sport on Saturday. Although there was one really memorable event - at the school dance ......



I hope this helps and gives you some ideas. Just a warning try not to copy my words too much (just in case you are tempted) unless you can write the rest of the paragraphs in the same style - it will stand out.

You are writing a book, an autobiography no less, and you need help from the YA board on how to approach a topic (in your life)? If you are not a writer, then get a ghost writer. People who can't write and want to author a book, hire ghost writers all the time.

people usually are like celebrities and have their lives like documented or keep a journal. I am right there with u. i dont remeber every detail.... its just a bad memory.
