Most universities have professional development programs and seminars that focus on grant writing skills. Check with the graduate school, I know they offer such programs regularly.

One of the best ways to learn is to ask someone who's done it to mentor you along the way.

Grant writing can be very lucrative, but you will be working for non-profits. They are the only ones who qaulify for real grants.

That being said, large non profits can pay extremly well, (who knew?)

If you are looking for a steady income this may not be the career for you. You can go a long time with no grants to write. Its a difficult job and you have to do a lot of self promotion.
