Get Paid For Writing

Beth Said:

how does someone go about writing to earn money for websites, articles online, proofreading etc?

We Answered:

I also work online to write articles. What I do is to accept jobs from the facility then work on it off line. There are deadlines that I also need to meet but it is usually very attainable. There are also various jobs you can do depending on your skills. Sen me a message so I can help you with it.

Jamie Said:

Do Canadians get paid for writing for Associated Content?

We Answered:

Below is FAQ from Associated Content.

Who is eligible to be paid?
You must be at least 18 years old to be paid by Associated Content. If you are also citizen or legal resident of the United States, you are eligible for both Upfront and Performance Payments. If you are not a citizen of legal resident of the United States, you are only eligible for Performance Payments due to U.S. tax regulations.

What are Performance Payments?
Performance Payments are payments based on the traffic to your content and allow you to earn unlimited cash from your text, video, slideshow and audio submissions long after they have been published. You earn money for every one thousand page views your content generates (PPM™ rate). The baseline PPM™ rate is currently $1.50 - meaning if you generate 30,000 page views, you're paid $45.00 in Performance Payments.

What is an Upfront Payment?
An Upfront Payment is a payment for your content offered before it is published.

How and when are payments sent?
We pay our Sources exclusively via PayPal. All you need to receive payments from us is a basic, personal PayPal account, which is free.

Typically, Upfront Payments are sent daily, M-F (except for holidays). If a payment is not sent one day, it will be sent the following day. Performance Payments are sent at the beginning of each month, no later than the second Wednesday, to accounts with at least $1.50 in Performance Payments.

Craig Said:

What paid writing or blog for pay site do you use?

We Answered:

Associated Content, Xomba, HubPages and the likes are great if you need to build your portfolio online. They also allow you to write what you love, keep a byline and even get paid. The problem with these sites is that the money is limited and will depend on the Adsense clicks, so the number of articles written doesn't necessarily ensure you'll be paid more.

If you want to write full time, it's better you seek out clients and accept only projects you're most passionate about. You can try out sites like oDesk.com and elance, if you're ready to go this path.

For passive income, it's always advisable to create your own blog. This way, you're able to write the things you like and monetize your blog the way you want it - either using AdSense, or other programs.
