Speaking and writing correct English will give you options when you grow up. For example, if you apply for a high paying job, the interviewer will give preference to people who speak clearly, concisely, and use correct English.

If you apply for college, the admissions personnel will give preference to people who write clearly, concisely, and use correct English.

Correct English may not be important now, but it will become important when you are older.

not sure if this would work but its a thought. have you got a book in your native language? read a passage, and then try and translate into english and write it down. get some one else to read it and check it through. or write a short story in english and get someone to check it.
