An author friend of mine when to St. Mary's College in Moraga, California for his MFA in Creative Writing. Other people I know have attended there, for other degrees, and highly recommend it.

There are many univesities and institutes offering such courses but no schools of that kind exist.You can always attend workshops or camps for creative writing.In case you want to join the University of Wales, here are some details:

At undergraduate level the National Institute for Excellence in the Creative Industries specializes in three key areas: Creative Writing, Professional Writing and Communications and Journalism.

Its research and knowledge transfer NIECI activities extend beyond this also to all areas of the Creative Industries. The Creative Industries are defined as: Television and Radio, the Writing Arts and Publishing (incl. Creative Writing, Professional Writing, Journalism), Film and Video, Architecture, Music, Performing Arts, software and computer games, Crafts, Design, Designer Fashion, Art and Antiques Market, Interactive Leisure Software and Advertising.

Studying for an undergraduate degree in the Institute is a rich and stimulating activity. The emphasis here is on creative exploration and critical understanding. The Institute provides more than skills-training, thus aiming to ensure its graduates have the capacity to become national and international leaders in their fields.

At postgraduate level the National Institute for Excellence in the Creative Industries offers a range of Masters Courses, including those focusing on Media Studies, Creative Writing, Journalism, Media and/or Film Practice, Film Studies, Theatre and Theatre Practice.

I think you should look into liberal arts colleges since they have more focus on writing than research universities. Something like Grinnell, Goucher, or Kenyon.

Hamilton and College of the Holy Cross have superb reputations.
Princeton Review rates the academics at HC at 98 and 95 for Hamilton College.
