Mildred Said:

Using the APA writing format, how do I cite and reference an author from a collected works volume not by him?

We Answered:

I think it should be like this:

Leweis, C.S. (date of publication). "God in the Dock." In editor's name (Ed.), title of book (page numbers). City of publication, state of publication: publisher.

I can't show it properly here, but remember that the second line would be indented. Also, to help you in the future, you might consider buying (or borrowing from the library) a book called Writer's Inc. It's extraordinarily helpful whenever I write, and it has both MLA and APA format with lots of examples.

Catherine Said:

Question about APA format when writing a paper about a single article?

We Answered:

Yes, it requires that you write it up in a way that is not repetitive but so the reader is clear which source you are citing each time. If you don't have page numbers, you can use paragraphs, or sections and paragraphs for clarity. Examples from the APA manual pages 120 and 214 are :

...as Myers (2000, para. 5) aptly phrased it.....

...."...this is a quotation."(Beutler, 2005, Conclusion section, para. 1)

or you can use the pilcrow sign, but not sure it's gonna work here :

......as Myers (2000, ¶ 5) aptly phrased it...

What are some tips to writing a paper in APA format?

We Answered:

No, it is not so very different. The biggest difference is citations as you say. There are some differences in the way you do headings and outlines as well. Check out the online style guides and compare. Good luck.
