5th Grade Writing Prompts
Kelly Said:
write a program that prompts the user to enter names of 5 students with their grade? We Answered:
As you grab your data, keep an array of student names, and keep an array of there grades, like a 1 - to - 1 relationship. Set a highest grade variable to 0, then iterate through each grade in the array and compare it to the highest grade, if its higher, then set the highest grade to that particular grade. Once you have the highest grade, iterate through the grade array, and find the index of the highest grade, and output the element at that index of the name array.Pearl Said:

How to Teach and Evaluate the Use of Picture Prompts
One way to use permanent prompts is to combine pictures with a task analysis of the steps needed to complete a job. For example, you could analyze each step for cleaning a bathroom in a motel or at home. Then take a photograph or draw a picture of each step of the job. Post the pictures on the wall, in a book, or on a board. Give the student a marker to check off each step as she completes it. If you laminate the pictures, they can be reused. Form 3.1 (Cleaning a Bathroom) is a series of picture prompts to use for cleaning a bathroom. Notice the form also allows the student to evaluate how many steps toward her personal goal were completed (see Topic 4 - Teaching Students to Use Self-Monitoring and Self-Reinforcement). (A blank, reproducible form for you to use when teaching the use of picture prompts is included in the Blank Forms.)

Can you help me figure out what I need to get on my final to stay above 90%?We Answered:
Daily work - 17% * 91.38 = 15.5346 pointsLab work - 40% * 88 = 35.2
Writing prompt - 3% * 100 = 3 points
So far - 53.7346 points
If you took a 0 on your final, you'd have 609/720 = 84.58%, times 40% = 33.83 points, giving you a total of 87.5646 for the class.
If you want to get an 89.5 overall, then your test component has to be 89.5 - 53.7346 = 35.7654. Doing the math (divide by 40, multiply by 720, sutract 609), you'd need 35 out of 120 points on your final to get an A-.
If you want to get a 93 overall, then your test component has to be 93 - 53.7346 = 39.2654 and you'd need 98 out of 120 points to get an A.

Can I Make up the 10th grade writing FCAT?We Answered:
I think that you only need to pass the Reading and the Math to graduate with a HS diploma. Why would you want to take the FCAT Writes again? Is this because your ego is bruised? No, you shouldn't take the FCAT Writes again and they won't let you take it again. You're just going to have to live with your dreadful score.

Pls create a journal writing (prompts are here)due tomorrow!(sunday)? We Answered:
If you don't want the teacher to be suspicious, DO YOUR OWN WORK!Asking us to write this is CHEATING. You should be ashamed of yourself!
Hopefully NO ONE up here will do this for you. I like to think we have more ethics than that!
Jim Said:
Do you know how to complete a "Writing Prompt"?We Answered:
Hi. As a fellow past writing teacher, this looks like one of my distict's asinine prompts. What we know about writing is the student must have something relative to bring to that prompt. Of course, that's damn near impossible with this. While it's meant to be thought provoking, it falls way short. But what comes to mind is the soldier, in particular the VietNam soldier. Not trained in jungle warfare, they were thrust into a terrain and setting they could not possibly fathom. Over time, even thought they hated it with every fiber in their bodies, they learned to actually embrace it... the sounds, the smells, the insects, the death...." the smell of napalm in the morning"... ( Apocalyse Now) It ,in fact ,became their history they could not abandon when they returned home. They became destitute and pathetic in an attempt to re establish their history in a place where they were born. Without home , which is your history, you are faceless in society.
And no... I could not stretch 5 paragrpahs out of that!!!
