Could I get some help writing an essay about 'neo-Darwinism'?We Answered:
The major interest of any paradigm, or major perspective, after you have defined it, is to think about how it affects the way that sociologists can think about the world. This part of your essay can be broken down into these sub topics:
How does the paradigm (eg neo darwinism)...
1. generate new concepts. (concepts are the key terms or words through which the neo darwinists describe the social world) ..in this case i'm guessing that 'genetic influences on social behaviour' might be one of the central concepts
2. what research questions ( using the concepts) could be generated from this major perspective
3. what general focus on social behaviour are neo darwinists likely to take?
4. what kinds of research topics are likely to be investigated by the neo Darwinists
5. how are the findings from these neo Darwinist set of researches likely to affect the general publics view of any specific aspect social life. for example are the neo Darwinsit research findings likely to lead to certain kinds of punishment or education or parenting policies?
It would be easier to discuss these five topics if you narrow the topic range down to one subject for example:
'Criminal behaviour' in the field of Crime and Justice/educational achievement/social inequality/parenting behaviour and its effect on children/gender inequality/you might think of some other specific social area here
