Writing An Essay About Yourself
Oscar Said:
How to introduce yourself when writing an essay about your life?We Answered:
I've been amused by people that turn the basic format inside out. Imagine something like:John Smith was born sixteen years ago and this made a lot of people angry. Since then, many people in Smithtown have tried to correct this mistake, but he's managed to keep a step ahead of them, mostly by being an artful dodger as well as a ___________. He isn't the son of a sharecropper because his father never learned how to share. For the past five years he's been studying ________ which he'll never use and looking forward to becoming a ___________, if he can just find a way around the rules.
Writing in the third person with tongue planted firmly in cheek can be a lot of fun.
If you can. get a copy of Douglas Adams' 'Hitchhiker' series. He has a lot of fun at it and can inspire you.

What format do you use when you are writing an essay about yourself? We Answered:
The standard format is an introductory paragraph telling the reader what your topic and dicussion points are going to be, main body paragraphs explaining your points in detail and a summary paragraph restating what introduction said with some final comment on the whole paper. First person should be fine for this kind of paper, it will make it more personal and readable.Kelly Said:
question on writing an essay about yourself? BEST ANSWER!!5STARS!!?We Answered:
Review essay format: http://www2.mcdaniel.edu/English/writing…A short essay format is as follows.
1. Introduction (Paragraph 1)
2. Point one. (Paragraph 2). 2-3 sentences.
3. Point two. (Paragraph 2). 2-3 sentences.
4. Point three. (Paragraph 2). 2-3 sentences.
5. Conclusion. (Paragraph 3)
The introduction should answer three questions ...
1. What am I talking about in this paper? - Yourself.
2. How am I going to talk about it? - BRIEFLY Introduce your main three points (do not elaborate here, you do this in the second paragraph).
3. The thesis statement. This should be your last sentence in the introductory paragraph. The thesis statement CLEARLY states what your essay is about. So in this case, it's about you and who you are and what makes you who you are.
You could organize your three points like this ... the first point being a basic overview of yourself (your name, age, where you were born, personality, etc). The second point is more information about yourself (family, friends, hobbies, achievements, etc). The third point should have information about your future self -- goals, desires, etc. Keep the information for each point down to at least 2-3 sentences.

When writing a conclusion for an essay about yourself? We Answered:
I'd like to see what you've written already, or atleast the paragraph before the conclusion. Definately do not use "In conclusion", it's used way too much. You could also use: "Ultimately...",
"In the closing of my essay, I...",
"To sum myself up, I am...",
"As you can see, I am this way because...",
"In the end, I remain this person because...",
I dunno, just some ideas :/ Pretty hard for me though since I can't see what you wrote.
Good luck.
