Writing A Paper

Frank Said:

What can I do to speed up writing a college paper?

We Answered:

I wish I had this advice when I was a college freshman, this will save you a lot of time: Change the font size of all the periods in your paper, if it's in size 12 font, change it to 14 (or even higher if you'd like). The beauty of this is that it's not noticable (unlike margins or the entire paper's font). And the longer the paper, the more extra pages you'll get from using this trick.

Dennis Said:

How do I start an outline for writing a paper for Civil Rights Movement?

We Answered:

Starting with an outline is a good way to plan your papers. You need to just write 'em without worrying if they're any good. Just get stuff onto paper, and then you can edit and polish it from there.

Maybe start by just making a list of the topics you want to cover in your paper. The Civil Rights movement is an awfully broad topic. Are you going to recap the history? Then list the major events in it. Are you going to analyze something about it? Then list some of the points you want to make.

Then take your list and put it in some kind of order, and you'll have the beginning of an outline. Flesh it out until you have it the way you want, then use that to write the paper.
