Writing A Narrative Essay
Christy Said:
Why do i have trouble writing a narrative essay? We Answered:
You're not necessarily writing about yourself, you're writing about your personal experience. Think of it more of 'writing what you know' more than writing about 'me'. Pick a topic you know or a story you can relate to others and write from your own point of view.Clayton Said:

Can someone help me in writing a NARRATIVE ESSAY on this topic? We Answered:
A narrative essay chronicles a personal experience. Unless you have experienced a storm, flood, earthquake, or other natural event, you will not be able to write a narrative essay about a storm, flood, earthquake, or any other natural event. I can't help you write something you haven't experienced.Lester Said:
What to do a narrative essay on?We Answered:
Well, if I were you, I would write an essay like a vingette. Like how sandra cisneros did in House on Mango street. Something that you can easily relate to, or something that you learned from. That way it has some points. Also, through in maybe some funny creative twists to make it fun and maybe more interesting.Hope it helps:)

WRITING NARRATIVE ESSAY HELP SVP!!!!!!!!!!!!!?We Answered:
No, do not summarize the text. Your teacher has already read the book. The only time you should summarize "what happens" in a book or story is when the question specifically asks you to do so.Due to the narrative structure of the book, it would be easy for you to pick one character that you related to. Each of the Bundrens have a very specific reaction to Addie's death (how they deal with it or fail to deal with it) and the trip they are going to make to bury her.
Consider each person's motivations and hopefully you will be able to fond some sort of connection with one of the characters and you can write your essay about that.
As a side note: that is an absolutely horrible and worthless assignment from your teacher. Sorry that you and your classmates have to be subjected to literature through this apparently bad teacher.

Some writing ideas for my narrative essay? We Answered:
One of my friends wrote an essay once called "Deer Hunting and the Finer Points of Life" and I think it answered that prompt very well. She wrote about her first deer hunting excursion with her father, and how the most minute details could make the difference: the way you walk, smell, which trees you can touch, and even the way you breathe (when firing the gun). I'm not familiar with "Turbulence" but you could write something to that effect. Her essay was also very well written, but I think the best part about it was her realization of the importance of subtleties. It was good enough to get her into Vanderbilt!Anyway, I think I'm just rambling now... Good luck and hopefully this helps!
