Amber Said:

How do you write a thesis statement essay?

We Answered:

Simply take a position and provide evidence to support your opinion.

Ex:
Tobacco companies are to blame for the tragic smoking-related illnesses and deaths across the world.

Then add your evidence, but do not be too specific, you are writing your three body paragraphs based on the three pieces of evidence you write here. Make sure it is clear that you have taken a side using either positive or negative words in answering your question.

Carrie Said:

I have to write a Thesis Statement Essay. Please help with ideas.?

We Answered:

(1) Set the scene. Give some historical background as to the origins of the conflict before the battle, but don't go into minute detail (eg background of the civil war, but not a blow-by-blow account)
(2) Cite some sources as to the relevance of the battle. Historical ones are not brilliant - get some modern critical ones. Know any historians who share your opinions? Cite them. Use articles to increase the relevant knowledge that you have as a critical opinion.
(3) State your aims and objectives in investigating this topic.
(4) List what literature you will use, and that has informed you as to your concepts and opinions of the battle.
(5) Describe what form your work will take (if applicable)
(6) Bibliography

Discuss It!
